The Rock Legends, ''Lighthouse'' Photography by Dan Peer

The legendary rock band, 'Lighthouse', opened the show for ''Fighting Cancer w. Friends'' on Sunday, November 10th, 2019 at the Purple Hill Country Hall, in Thorndale, ON.  What an amazing afternoon filled with love and support for friends fighting cancer.  Lighthouse joined this incredible lineup of artists who came to support and show what #realloveandfriendshiplooks like!

We can’t say enough to everyone who took the time to come out and spend this amazing day full of overwhelming love and friendship! Memories to last a lifetime! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️?????? Music heals in more ways than one. We are all genuinely connected through music and I honestly believe it can help us heal inside out!

The kindness and generosity that so many gave on November 10th just can't even begin to be described. There was so much love and gestures given by all those involved in this benefit as hosts, artists, the angels that appeared out of nowhere just as we needed them, to the sponsors, volunteers, and the owners of Purple Hill Country Hall.

We would like to thank the one and only, Randy Owen, dearest friend, Jamie Warren, incredible soul and my friend, Adele Newton, and the amazing, Dave Reynolds for co-hosting Fighting Cancer w/ Friends.

We can't thank enough the incredible generosity to each and every one of the artists who performed with so much love and warmth that it filled the entire room with emotions showing what #realloveandfriendship is. Your performances will be in our hearts always. Many artists flew in to sing a few songs and had to fly right back out to Nashville and other places. That is just incredible and we will never forget that kind of friendship and love to do something like that for us all. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Jamie Warren, Eric Ethridge, The Western Swing Authority, Shane Guse, Stacey Lee Guse, Ed Ringwald, Jimmy Boudreau, Matthew Lima, Paul Chapman, Dan Howlett, the band LIGHTHOUSE, Paul Hoffert, Thomas Wade, brad james, Stacey Zegers, Suzi Kory, Anthony Tullo, my dear friend Carlos Morgan, Sean Carson, David Janes, Jim Witter, and other artists that joined on stage as back up for artists performing. We wish we had the chance to meet you all and want to tell you how grateful we are for all that you did for us. Please tag yourself if we have missed anyone. We pray we haven't. We will cherish this day forever and what you all did for this benefit is what God put us on this earth to do. God bless each and every one of you. Our deepest heartfelt love and gratitude.

To the angels who appeared out of nowhere to help just in the moments we needed it, God bless you, The Singing Soldiers, London Guitars, @LongandMcQuade Oshawa, Mississauga, and London, The Guitar Corner, Dean Brody, Jim Cuddy, Lighthouse, Ken Green, RGK Entertainment Group, Jim Cressman, Kevin Shea, Jason Rozon, Kinsmen Lucknow, @ Joe Carter, Chad Brownlee Music, Francis Mahe and Debbie Mahe, Lori Thompson, Charly Chamney for driving to Collinwood, God love you, Kayla Dodkin for her amazing cupcakes, Shannon Adams-Mercer and Zoey, George and Elena Pitul, George Taylor and AnnaTaylor, Brian Storey, HUGE HUGE thank you to the best sound tech ever, Scott Taylor, and his team, volunteers who helped in kitchen, setup and teardown, (Angels) from The Purple Hill County Hall, HUGE THANK YOU to Dan Peer, and Jr. Walker.
