Lane Shields New Single 'Take the Long Way' Out Today!
Take the Long Way
Take one heartfelt gift, wrap it up in a promise, add a pound of determination, with a whole lot of hard work and you'll understand the makings of Lane Shields.
Shields is a 20-year-old university student, born in Rosetown SK. A small town boy at heart, he moved with his parents to Prince Albert, and then Saskatoon. Six years ago he received his first guitar when his great grandfather passed away and made a promise he would learn to play, and use it. And use it he did!
And so the journey had begun. Lane started to play his instrument and invested in vocal and song writing sessions. Since that time, he has been performing at a variety of venues and functions in and around Saskatoon including the Hillbilly Boogey, Eagle Creek Jamboree and Dalmany Days.
Lane has been lucky enough to collaborate with some well-known people in music such as Codie Prevost, Brody Siebert, and Scott Patrick and has started recording his original music including his debut single "Take the Long Way".
Lane is performing at the 2017 SCMA Awards New Artist Show Case in Saskatoon. He was also awarded the SCMA Youth Development Award at the 2014 SCMA Awards, in Nipawin SK.
Take the Long Way may be the first single Lane Shields has released to radio ... but I guarantee it won't be his last.
