Multi-platinum, award-winning entertainer Tim Hicks is pleased to announce the release of “The Worst Kind”, his brand new single in collaboration with multiple 2018 CCMA Award nominee Lindsay Ell, available at radio today. A moody, post-breakup tale melding smooth vocal harmonies on a guitar-fuelled backdrop, “The Worst Kind” is the second single from Hicks’ fourth studio album New Tattoo, and follows lead track “LOUD”, which was licensed by the NHL in North America and was the #1 most added song at Canadian radio (all formats) its first week of release.  

Hicks and Ell (the first Canadian female Country artist to hit #1 on the Country Radio charts since 2008), have been individually announced as performers at the 2018 CCMA Awards, happening September 9th in Hamilton, ON, with both celebrating significant nominations – Hicks with his first nod in the “Apple Music Fans’ Choice Award” category and Ell for both “Ford Album of the Year” and “Female Artist of the Year”. Additionally, Hicks is set to headline the SiriusXM Top of the Country showcase in the newly announced CCMA Fan Village, which will take place as part of Country Music Week in the lead up to the awards show broadcast.  

Hicks plans to turn up the heat this winter on his national headlining “Get Loud Tour”, thrilling fans out east with the recent addition of three shows in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.  Kicking off in Toronto, Ontario, on November 1st, Hicks along with special guests Tebey, Madeline Merlo (in the East), Andrew Hyatt (in the West), and Washboard Union (Toronto only), will take the energy-charged show to 19 cities across the country. For the “Get Loud Tour” Hicks has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket will go to the Unison Fund and their work providing counseling and emergency relief services to the Canadian music community www.unisonfund.ca.
