Kim:

''This is such a treat for me and all you listerners out there!  It was genius, this new creative fruition of my special guests country stars 'Craig Moritz' and  'Tyler Whelan' that make up country musics newest duo 'Drink Flamingo Project.'''  ''Welcome...''

''How are you guys?''

Craig and Tyler:

''We are just great Kim.''  ''How are you?''

Kim:

''I am so excited and doing great.''

''Back together again.''  ''We were all waiting for the day you two would reunit to play as a band once again!''  ''I know that you have support each other's solo careers playing here and there but to see you guys as a duo in country music again is special.''

Craig and Tyler:

''We are as excited as everybody else,'' says Craig.  ''We can't wait to get this out to the masses, and excited for this project.''   ''I am fumbling on my words this morning, not warmed up.''  Laughing.

Tyler:

''I remember my first beer,'' says Tyler.  ''Kidding, teasing.''  ''The timing is right for us with this project and we can't wait to get this out there.''  ''It's taken a long time to get the music where we wanted this and now it's time to get it out there for everyone.''

Kim:

''We know that you guys have supported each other in your solo careers, as you guys played together first,'' says Cyr.  ''You started your music journey together several years ago when you started the band, ''Tailgate.''  ''Tell us about that?''

 Craig and Tyler:

''Yes, absolutely,'' say Tyler.

Kim:

''Both of you have had very successful solo careers since ''Tailgate''

''Even though "Tailgate" only lasted a couple years, what kind of role did it play in getting your ready to go out for your solo careers?

Craig and Tyler:

''So we have been friends throughout the whole musical journey supporting each other like your mentioned and  we have always had a plan to do a duo of some sort,'' says, Craig.  ''We just didn't want to come out with one a typical duo project in country.''  ''We decided that we wanted to release a great summertime, happy kind of vibe.''  ''Something with a tropic flavour to it.''  ''We have really enjoyed how this turned out and what we have done so far.''

Kim:

''I know it is a lot of fun listening to the songs on this EP.''  ''We are going to open this up with ''Jimmy Buffett'' so everyone can hear just a bit of what this is fun, summertime songs are all about. ''

Craig:

''Awesome.''

Kim:

''I got mine in my drink, how about you?''  ''Jimmy Buffett, what a great song.''

Kim:

Craig:

''We mention your work together in the band ''Tailgate'' and what it meant to you both setting you up for successful solo careers?''

''Tailgate was hmmm, well not even sure how that happened actually,'' says Craig.  ''My younger brother had introduced Tyler and I so we king of got together and started jamming in my basement for a couple weeks and we started playing as a band locally, in Fort McMurray.''  ''We were so excited that we got a couple hundred bucks gigging for a weekend, that we said, ''We should take this on the road.''  ''We didn't know anything about the music business so we found an agent and quit our jobs and started touring.'' ''We did it for a few months and then the band kind of fell apart.'' ''It was unfortunate and we went our separate ways.''  ''The drummer couldn't hold them together, laughing.''  ''Tyler was the drummer in that band.''

Kim:

''It's always the drummer, laughing.''

''Don't knock the drummer,'' says John Marshall.

''But he didn't hold it together jokingly,'' says Kim.

''Craig has opened shows and shared the stage with some of the greatest names in today's country including Kip Moore, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, David Lee Murphy, Sara Evans, Steven Tyler, Tanya Tucker and so many more....

''You released three full length studio albums "The Way I Feel" (Royalty Records), "Down and Dirty"( Royalty Records), "Only When You're Lonely" (OnRamp/EMI) featuring the production talents of Dean Sams of country supergroup Lonestar, and Dean Miller, son of legendary country crooner Roger Miller.''

''Tell us about that part of your career and what was the best gift that you took away from it all?''

Craig:

''When I first started out as a solo artist, I was just playing clubs doing my thing.'' ''I never really took it that seriously at first until I was out a couple years and we started getting better shows and I thought, ''I better start taking this more seriously learning about tthe business and writing.''  ''I didn't want to treat it like a hobby so I noticed then I big change in myself.''  ''The caliper of shows we were getting, I knew then that my career was going in the direction that I wanted it to.''  ''It hasn't been easy.''  ''It's been a struggle to be honest like it is for everyone but some luckier than others.''  ''It's the hard working and the small victories like the shows opening up to 'Kip Moore' and any exposure like that is great for your career.''  ''It helps to give you more clout and legitimacy.''  ''I am very thankful for all those opportunities and that's what lead us here.''  ''It's lead me down a different path that I am equally excited about and it's kind of a rebirth, restart kind of thing.''  ''It has been a way to stay current and relevant.'' ''I am really excited again about the music business.''

Kim:

''Bring that kind of experience from your solo career, it's amazing.''

Kim:

''Tyler, you grew up in a musical family with both your parents, your mother as a singer and your dad playing fiddle and guitar for his own band.''  ''You joined your dad's band on stage at the age of fifteen years of age.''   ''In 2012, you headed to Nashville to work with renowned singer/songwriters Michelle Wright, Patricia Conroy, Sarah Majors, and Steve Williams.''

''You have shared the stage with performers Diamond Rio, Sawyer Brown, Gretchen Wilson and so many more...''   ''You are such an incredible writing mastering your craft, writing with the best in country music.''

''What was it like growing up in a musical family and how it influenced you as a singer/songwriter and the artist you are today?

Tyler:

''It was awesome being brought up with my dad's band.''  ''When I was young, I remember I used to dirt bike a lot and when I turned 15, I decided I wanted to play in my dad's band.''  ''I was a drummer and so I decided to sell my dirt bike so I could get a good set of drums to join my dad's band.''  ''That was my sacrifice that I made.''  ''Like Craig said, it's really hard to get into the music business so basically I sold the bike to get the drums.''  ''When I got my drums and learned how to play better, the band already had a drummer.''  ''So I had to take the second best band in Fort McMurray and play drums for 'Tailgate', laughing.''  ''You can't get the job you want all the time so, that's how it went.''

Kim:

''Awe, poor guy.'' Laughing

Tyler:

''I was always writing music and when 'Tailgate' kind of separated, I focused on the songwriting and I did start to get some shows as well.''  ''Opening up for 'Dwight Yoakam', 'Big & Rich', 'Nitty Gritty Dirt Band', 'Gretchen Wilson', people like that, \Charlie Majors', was one of my favorites.  ''I was very fortunate to be brought to write with someone like 'Michelle Wright', 'Patricia Conroy', and one of my favourite people in the world, 'Ralph Murphy'.   ''It was so hard when he passed away.''  ''He was such a great mentor to me for songwriting.''   ''Everytime I went to Nashville, he took me under his wing as well.''  ''I also had 'Steve Williams' who was always there to help with the writing aspect of things.'' ''The musicial journey has been supper fun and it's been awesome to get to this point in my career where I can focus on DFP.''
